I sometimes ride the barge with my sweet lady-friend Lea. It's popped 3 times in all the rides I've been on and 2 of those times it dropped the Nokizaru Hakama (the other time dropped War Hose). She's definitely my lucky charm! :D Can solo easily with my BLU61/THF30. Good luck... and I hope to God I finally see that damn orc!

I was camping the Orctrap NM for the Katana and got bored. Got on the barge to Central South Landing. My health was yellow I figured I'd heal on the barge. As soon as we take off this guy aggroes me cause of low hp. He's a tanted flesh type NM. Anyway I wasn't even expecting it, never even heard of this guy or the drop. I was a 53 Nin it was a easy fight with only 600hp. So I get the drop. I liked the Emnity bonus. I was gonna keep it. Then I looked on the AH. 2 mil sold!.
On the boat through Newtpool after a smooth kidnapping (nvm that).

I was fishing to get the muddy siredon for CoP (friend keeping me company because she was bored) and this guy spawns. I see the name and immediately reel in my line and kill this guy. He goes down within about 10-15 seconds. Nokizaru Hakama drops and I go into treasure to check it out and lot (wasn't familiar with the item or NM prior to this). As soon as I could get into treasure pool, we zone and lose the chance to get the item.
1 Mil item on Shiva ><. Easily soloable, but if you are not capable of putting out decent damage quickly, you will zone and lose your chance.
Lesson learned: When fighting with a time limit while in a PT, Engage and set Quartermaster.

we decided to get the ship from san d'oria and we kept this up for about an hour just aimless fun , when this mob pops up, and it was only the name that gave away the fact this was an nm. I was a lvl 63 war/thf and i quickly sneak attacked it and then hit my warcry bezerk and 2 hour, while my lvl 70 blm friend went to work , and kept me up.

Popped on the "Central to South Landing" Canal Route, I wasn't resting or fighting any other mobs at the time.
As a Hume RDM60 it was a pretty easy fight, about 10-20 dmg a hit was getting past phalanx which stoneskin easily handled. The main headache was draining his HP bar before the ferry docked since he popped in the second half of the trip (22:00 ish?). I was /BST and started with about 400mp...
Chainspell + a few tier 2 nukes + Stoneskin/Convert/CureIV + some more nukes took about 50% of his HP bar off. In the end I made it with about 20secs to spare, gaining about 18exp and these trousers. Price history is 3.5 - 4 mil on Remora's Jeuno AH.
The Cursed Flesh "Disease" TP move landed on me, which could have been annoying for some other mages but thankfully means very little to a RDM.

Went back again the next day, still trying to get my Carect Ring... no sign of the orc, but this NM popped again at about 26 Hours past his TOD, again at about 22:00 ish on the same ferry.
Easy fight, went a bit faster than yesterday as I knew what to expect. He still didn't break through Stoneskin + Phalanx.
No drop this time, just 20 EXP -.-

rode the ship for the first time last night trying to get my teak lumber for that teak the stars quest..didn't pay much attention to the 4 other 75's on the ship..thought they were doing same quest as me or fishing..anyway wasn't sure which mob would drop the teak so i just quickly stunned anything that popped...well this nm popped...i had no idea what it was...until i checked it and was like..oh ****, its a nm...he kept missing me though so i wasn't to worried...fired off a thder4, thnder3 then thnder4 then dead...dropped the pants...told the ls about them..they all start freaking out..i ask why..they tell me they are worth 2M....sweet!

I was hunting for my /ex ring MP+20 from the orc.
BAM the doom type mob popped.
I took him with SAM61/BST30. The nin pants
dropped. On quetalcoatl, they sell for 1.4mil.
I didn't get my ring but hell, I can just buy
an astral ring instead.

Well, I was doing the tea somthing quest an I was taking this barge just dying for somthing entertaining a voila, my wish came true.
This thing took quite the chunk outta me as a 64DRK/32THF I ended the fight with only 15% HP left, but well, when a DRK cant drain... there really isnt much he can do but whack it.
He does use Blood Weapon (DRK 2hr which drains HP) but he barley even hit me so it didnt make a difference.
Sorry, this should have been posted on NM, I will post the same message on NM aswell
Like all the other Doomed, he has a crap load of HP an take a while to take down.
Like the other posts say, this dude will most likley not be able to take down right away until you go back on the barge heading back up north.

Got this guy today and killed him as a 55PLD/15THF and 54WHM/27BLM while we were doing the Tea with a Tonberry quest. He spawned at the end of the South Landing to Central Landing via Newtpool ride and a THF got him, but couldn't kill him before the boat docked. She disappeared before the next ride, but we got back on in hope that he would still be there. (this time it was the Emfea boat.) He was, yay!
So I cast Flash on him fast and grabbed him^^ My bf, (WHM) only had 100 mp left so he rested while I fought it, and joined in towards the end with Banish and Erase.
Attacks he used:
-Stinking Gas--AOE (not party-specific)VIT down
-Abyss Blast--Physical Dmg (looks a lot like Dimensional Death)and blindness.
-Call of the Grave--AOE (not party-specific) INT down
-Whip Tongue--Physical Dmg
-Undead Mold--Disease (A lot like the Exorays' Spore attack)
He also used Blood Weapon, but Invincible took care of that.^^ He hit me on average for about 30-40 dmg and I was hitting for 50-60, but he has a lot of hit points(I'd estimate over 4k). We were kinda afraid we wouldn't be able to finish him off before we docked. It took us about 5 minutes of the 7 minute ride to kill him. But without Invincible to counteract Blood Weapon, we may not have managed to win.
In the end, we got 12 exp and a pair of Nokizaru Hakama! /cheer Now to figure out what to do with them...only two pairs total sold on Unicorn so far. Great rush, though^^

I got a pair of these today (yay!)
So, I'd like to know (from Nins) what is a reasonable price to sell these for? The stats are nice for lvl 50. There is no history price for item on AH. I dont want to drive the price on them sky-high, but at the same time I dont wanna rip myself off.... any suggestions would be noted and appeciated.

On which ride did you get them? The February patch changed the barge schedule so that it no longer goes through Newtpool at night.
hey Nill, im from your server Pandemonium and i really want to get a hold of a pair of these >< Im a lvl 50 nin, and these would really help me out. I tried contacting you today ingame, but i think you were afk. Could we somehow arrange a deal ingame?

Picked up ones of these from a mnk55 in lower jeuno (Pandemonium, 1.2mil) ...hehe...i'm only a nin42, but there was no way i was going to pass on a chance to get one of these, especially since i only popped online for a few mins to see if any yoto+1's were selling on AH...mwahahaha...im gonna rule come 50~!

I fought this NM today going from South Landing to the Central Landing. It drops from a Doomed type NM that uses the DRK 2-hour, Blood Weapon. He was easily soloable as a 72 RDM.

Has anyone ever battled this NM? I've been through the Phanauet Channel a few times now. The only mobs I have encountered on the boat ride are a few pugils and perhaps a crab or two. (entire zone is a boat/barge ride to Carp. Landing > N. San d' Oria entrance) Most mobs seen to be around the same level or just a little lower than Valkrum Dunes. I guess my questions are:
Is this a quest flagged spawn for this mob?
Or is it simply a random spawn?
I know the mob is listed as a member of the "Doomed" family, which leaves me to believe that it's simplar to the beast you fight for San d' Oria's Ecco-Warrior quest. Any information would be great.
Note: This item is currently selling for no less than 1,000,000G on Phoenix.

He is, in fact, a big ugly undead looking frog thing, like the Eco-Warrior mobs. I just fought him on Phanuet Channel barge. (No drops)
He popped on the ride before that, but right at the tail end, and I only got two hits in before the ship docked. >_<
Fortunately, when I jumped immediately back on the boat, he was waiting there for me. :D
I'm guessing he only spawns at night...now if only I knew what his respawn rate was...

It's a leg piece. I bought this item today for 400k on Ifrit AH. I bought the first one ever in the AH history though so time will tell if it will go up or down in price.
